Face-to-face clinical assessments for online weight loss providers.

Give your patients access to in-person medical assessments, independently verified measurements and appropriate clinical follow-up, without building your own network of physical clinics.

Jex Health provides face-to-face clinical assessments for digital weight management providers and online pharmacies whose patients need an in-person examination, independently verified measurements or clinical monitoring. Assessments are delivered by Mayfield Clinic GPs at clinics in England and reported back to the prescribing team. Prescribing remains with the referring provider.

A Mayfield Clinic GP reviewing a patient's results

When digital weight management needs physical care.

Most patients are well served remotely. The safeguards around online weight management medicines have tightened: the General Pharmaceutical Council expects independent verification of weight, height or BMI before supply, and the General Medical Council expects prescribers to recognise when a remote assessment is not enough. Neither means every patient needs an in-person GP. Both create situations where a physical delivery partner is useful.

Measurements that need an independent source

Self-reported height, weight and blood pressure are the weak link in remote prescribing. A clinician's measurement on calibrated equipment, recorded against your reference, removes the doubt at the start and at review.

Symptoms that need examining

Abdominal pain, gallbladder symptoms, pancreatitis concerns, injection-site problems and the unexpected findings that appear when someone loses weight quickly. A GP who can examine, test and act on the day.

Monitoring your protocol asks for

Observations and, where indicated, blood tests at agreed intervals, taken by a clinician and reviewed by a GP, rather than sent to a kit and hoped for.

Independent measurements and patient assessment.

A defined clinical episode, requested by you, delivered by a Mayfield GP, documented back to you with the patient's consent.

Independent measurements

Height, weight, BMI, waist circumference, blood pressure and pulse, measured by a clinician on calibrated equipment and recorded against your patient reference.

Clinical assessment

A GP consultation where remote assessment is insufficient: relevant history, comorbidities, medication interactions, or a change you want examined before treatment continues.

Examination of concerning symptoms

Face-to-face assessment of symptoms that cannot be judged on screen, with investigation and treatment where the GP finds it is needed.

Monitoring observations

Observations at every clinic. Blood tests where your protocol specifies them and the clinic can take them: phlebotomy is available at most Mayfield clinics but not all, so we confirm it per location and agree who acts on results before any referral.

Follow-up and escalation

A follow-up consultation with the same GP where needed, and onward referral to specialist or emergency care when an examination finds something that cannot wait.

Documentation back to you

A structured outcome report per episode with the measurements, findings and the GP's recommendation, returned to your clinical team with consent.

In-person assessments for GLP-1 treatment pathways.

Episode types we can agree for patients on semaglutide, tirzepatide and similar treatments. Each has a defined scope and a tariff, so your clinicians know what a referral covers and what it costs.

Pre-treatment verification

Independently verified height, weight and BMI, blood pressure and relevant history where your protocol or regulatory guidance calls for it before supply.

Adverse-effect assessment

Examination of a patient reporting abdominal pain, gallbladder or pancreatitis symptoms, injection-site reactions or other adverse effects, with a recommendation on whether treatment should continue.

Monitoring review

Observations and, where indicated, blood tests at the intervals your protocol sets, with a GP review of the result and a documented recommendation.

Jex does not present in-person consultations as mandatory for every GLP-1 patient. We offer a clinically appropriate route where your protocol, or your clinician's judgement, calls for one.

How partnerships work.

You identify the need, we deliver the episode, you keep the prescribing decision.

  1. Refer

Your clinician identifies that remote assessment alone does not meet the patient's needs or your protocol, and refers with the episode type, the clinical question and the patient's current medication.

  2. Book

We book the patient into the nearest Mayfield clinic with capacity and tell them where, when and what to bring, in your name if the service is partner-branded.

  3. Assess

A Mayfield GP measures, examines and assesses as the episode requires, with tests where agreed and the clinic can take them.

  4. Report

A structured outcome report returns to your prescribing team within an agreed time, with results as they arrive, and episodes are invoiced monthly at the agreed tariff.

A network of private GP locations.

Face-to-face episodes run at Mayfield's clinic locations in England, with Oxford as the flagship and four clinics inside the M25. Our rooms are sessional, so capacity differs by town. We confirm which clinics can serve your patients, on which days and with which tests, before any commitment, and would rather decline a region than promise coverage we cannot keep. Video follow-up with the same GP is available anywhere in the UK, which suits the review conversations that do not need a room.

If your patients are concentrated somewhere we are not yet, we can add locations as part of a structured go-live: a sessional room, local GPs and agreed capacity, set up and tested before your launch date rather than promised afterwards.

Deep integration, when you want it.

Start with a secure referral form on day one. When volumes justify it, connect your platform to ours: book directly into Mayfield's clinical system and receive the clinical documentation back after the appointment, without anyone re-keying anything.

Live availability

A read-only feed of appointment availability, so your clinicians and your booking flow can see when a patient could be seen before they refer. Our video availability feed is already public.

Book by API

Create the appointment straight into Mayfield's clinical and booking system, Hero Health, with your referral and the patient's consent attached. The patient gets the same confirmation and reminders as every Mayfield patient.

Documentation back

After the appointment, the structured clinical summary, findings and results are returned to your system by API or secure transfer, in a format we agree, so your record is complete without a human in the loop.

In your brand or ours

Patient-facing messages can carry your name. Identity, consent and clinical responsibility are handled the same way whichever route the booking came in by.

The integration is scoped as a one-off piece of work with your engineering team and tested before launch. Most partners start on the form and connect once the referral pattern is settled. How the integration works.

Clinical records and handover.

Agreed documentation, agreed responsibilities and secure reporting, written down before the first patient is seen.

What we document

Every episode produces a structured outcome report: the measurements, the examination findings, any tests ordered and their results, and the GP's recommendation in plain terms, continue, adjust, investigate or stop. It reaches your prescribing team through a secure route agreed at onboarding.

Who is responsible for what

Your clinician decides whether to prescribe, continue or stop, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Mayfield's GP is responsible for the care given in the room and for acting on any finding that needs urgent attention, including contacting the patient and, where necessary, their NHS GP.

Priced per episode, defined in advance.

Each episode type has an agreed tariff, so you can build the cost into your own pricing and know what a referral will cost before you make it.

Per completed episode

A verification visit, an adverse-effect assessment or a monitoring review, each at its own agreed tariff. Blood panels itemised at contracted rates where available.

Reserved sessions

Where your volumes in a town justify it, sessions held for your patients on a minimum session fee, with a published rota you can book into.

Partner-branded or co-branded

Patient communications in your name or ours, subject to the arrangements we agree at onboarding. The clinic and the clinician are Mayfield's, which the patient is told.

Multiple locations

One agreement covers every participating clinic. Your patients are booked wherever is nearest with capacity, and reporting is consolidated.

Reporting

Monthly activity, time-to-appointment and outcome categories, plus the aggregate findings that help you refine who you refer.

No subscription

Nothing to start, no minimum until you ask for reserved capacity. Referral by secure form or email first; direct booking into our clinical system and documentation back by API when your volumes justify the build.

Prescribing stays with you.

Jex does not prescribe weight loss medicines on behalf of partners. The prescribing decision remains with your clinician. The measurement, examination and any treatment given in the room are Mayfield's, delivered under its CQC registration. We agree in writing what we will do when an examination finds something that changes the picture, including when we contact the patient's NHS GP and when we contact you.

Care is delivered by MRCGP-qualified GPs under Mayfield Clinic's CQC registration and clinical leadership. Escalation, safeguarding and complaints routes are agreed with your clinical team before the first patient is seen. About Mayfield Clinic.

Questions partners ask.

Can online weight loss providers refer patients for face-to-face clinical assessments?

Yes. That is the service. Your clinicians refer patients who need in-person measurement, examination or monitoring, we see them at a participating Mayfield clinic, and the findings go back to your prescribing team.

Do patients prescribed GLP-1 medicines need an in-person consultation?

Not all of them, and we will not suggest they do. Regulators expect independent verification of weight, height or BMI before supply, and expect prescribers to recognise when a remote assessment is insufficient. We provide the in-person route for the patients your protocol or your clinicians judge need one.

Can Jex independently measure a patient's height, weight and blood pressure?

Yes. A clinician measures height, weight, BMI, waist circumference, blood pressure and pulse on calibrated equipment and records them against your patient reference, in a report your team can rely on.

Can Jex carry out examinations for patients reporting adverse effects?

Yes. A Mayfield GP examines the patient, investigates where needed and acts on anything urgent, then sends your clinician a documented recommendation on whether treatment should continue, pause or change.

Can results be returned directly to our prescribing team?

Yes. Every episode produces a structured outcome report, returned to your prescribing team with the patient's consent through a secure route agreed at onboarding, and by API into your own system once the integration is built. Results from any tests follow as they arrive.

Can we arrange appointments across multiple UK locations?

Yes, under one agreement. Patients are booked at whichever participating Mayfield clinic is nearest with capacity. We confirm which locations, and which tests each can take, before anything is agreed. Face-to-face locations are in England; video follow-up is UK-wide.

Does Jex prescribe weight loss medicines on behalf of partners?

No. Our GPs measure, assess, examine, test and advise. The prescribing decision stays with your clinician. Where a Mayfield GP believes a treatment should be paused or changed, that recommendation goes to your prescribing team.
