Private GP appointment fulfilment for health insurers.
Extend your policyholders' access to face-to-face private GP appointments through Jex Health and the Mayfield Clinic network, without establishing or operating additional clinics.
Jex Health provides face-to-face private GP appointment capacity for health insurers and their digital GP providers: routine consultations, physical examinations and follow-up after remote appointments, delivered by Mayfield Clinic GPs at clinics in England under a provider agreement with contracted tariffs.

Extend your private GP provider network.
You already have products, a digital GP provider, claims systems and a member journey. We are not proposing to replace any of it. The problem we solve is narrower: a policyholder needs a face-to-face GP consultation, your network has limited availability in that area, and you want accountable clinical capacity without permanent premises or directly employed clinicians.
A route from remote to in person
Your digital GP sees the member and needs an examination done. The referral comes to Jex, the member is seen at a Mayfield clinic, and the outcome goes back into your pathway.
Capacity where the network is thin
Clinic rooms and GPs in Oxford, London, the Home Counties, the South West and the North West, available to your members at contracted tariffs, with capacity confirmed per location rather than claimed nationally.
A provider that fits your processes
Pre-authorisation references captured at booking, eligibility checked against your list, outcomes reported in the shape your claims process needs, and nothing clinical shared beyond what is agreed.
Face-to-face GP appointments for policyholders.
Private GP care in clinic, with examinations, follow-up and appropriate referral handled by the same team and reported into your pathway.
Face-to-face GP consultations
MRCGP-qualified GPs in Mayfield clinic rooms, with appointment lengths that allow a proper examination.
Physical examinations
Examination against the question referred by your digital GP or requested by the member, with findings documented in a structured outcome.
Follow-up after digital GP appointments
In-person follow-up after a remote consultation on your platform, with the clinical question carried through and answered rather than started again.
Investigations
Observations at every clinic. Blood tests, urine and swab tests at most clinics and ECG at Oxford, confirmed per location, with results reviewed by the GP.
Prescribing and treatment
Private prescriptions where clinically appropriate, and minor procedures within a GP's scope.
Appropriate referral
Specialist referral into your approved network, imaging and physiotherapy, with the referral letter written to your requirements.
Integration with your existing member journey.
Three routes in, chosen to fit the journey you already run: escalation from your digital GP, direct booking under a pre-authorisation, or reserved sessions on a published rota. Each follows the same four steps.
Refer
Your digital GP or claims team refers, or a pre-authorised member books into agreed capacity. The referral carries the clinical question and the authorisation reference, through a secure route agreed at onboarding.
Book
We book the member into the nearest participating Mayfield clinic with capacity, at a time that matches the urgency, and tell them where, when and what to bring.
Assess
A Mayfield GP consults, examines and investigates as the referral asks, with prescribing and referral into your approved network where appropriate.
Report
A structured outcome per episode goes back to your pathway, results as they arrive, and a monthly statement at contracted tariffs, itemised by member reference.
Flexible geographic coverage.
Face-to-face care runs at Mayfield's clinic locations in England, with Oxford as the flagship and four clinics inside the M25. We do not claim national coverage. Capacity is confirmed per location before any commitment and reported monthly, because our rooms are sessional and the honest answer in some towns is a limited rota. Video follow-up with the same GP is available to members anywhere in the UK.
If your patients are concentrated somewhere we are not yet, we can add locations as part of a structured go-live: a sessional room, local GPs and agreed capacity, set up and tested before your launch date rather than promised afterwards.

Deep integration, when you want it.
Start with a secure referral form on day one. When volumes justify it, connect your platform to ours: book directly into Mayfield's clinical system and receive the clinical documentation back after the appointment, without anyone re-keying anything.
Live availability
A read-only feed of appointment availability, so your clinicians and your booking flow can see when a patient could be seen before they refer. Our video availability feed is already public.
Book by API
Create the appointment straight into Mayfield's clinical and booking system, Hero Health, with your referral and the patient's consent attached. The patient gets the same confirmation and reminders as every Mayfield patient.
Documentation back
After the appointment, the structured clinical summary, findings and results are returned to your system by API or secure transfer, in a format we agree, so your record is complete without a human in the loop.
In your brand or ours
Patient-facing messages can carry your name. Identity, consent and clinical responsibility are handled the same way whichever route the booking came in by.
The integration is scoped as a one-off piece of work with your engineering team and tested before launch. Most partners start on the form and connect once the referral pattern is settled. How the integration works.
Shared and reserved appointment capacity.
Two ways to buy, reflecting how Mayfield's clinics actually run: sessional rooms with GPs on set days. Most insurers start with the first and add the second where demand is predictable.
Shared appointment capacity
Refer members into available Mayfield appointments at agreed tariffs, without reserving exclusive clinical sessions. Usage-based, no volume commitment, and the right starting point for most provider agreements.
Reserved clinical capacity
Contract for dedicated appointment sessions in selected locations, with agreed volume commitments and service levels. Suits predictable demand, or a service promise you have made to members in a specific area.
Simple contracted tariffs.
A provider agreement in the shape you already use, with tariffs per completed appointment, optional volume commitments, and billing in the format your claims process needs.
Per completed appointment
Agreed per completed face-to-face GP consultation, with investigations and prescriptions itemised at contracted rates.
Volumes and minimum commitments
None on shared capacity. Reserved sessions carry a minimum session fee or volume commitment, agreed per location.
Authorisation and eligibility
Pre-authorisation references captured at booking and eligibility checked against the list you provide.
Billing
One monthly statement, itemised by member reference and episode type, in the format your claims process needs.
Service standards
Time-to-appointment and outcome turnaround agreed per location and reported monthly. We do not publish service levels we have not yet measured for your members.
Integration
Referral links and booking flows through your existing journey to begin with. When you want it, your digital GP or case management platform books directly into our clinical system by API and receives the clinical documentation back, scoped as a one-off piece of work.
How to become a Jex partner.
From commercial scoping to operational launch, in weeks rather than quarters.
Scope
Member geography, expected volumes and the appointment types your pathway needs. We confirm which Mayfield locations and session days can serve them.
Agree
Tariffs, the capacity model, authorisation and eligibility handling, data protection roles, consent wording and the outcome you receive per episode, in a provider agreement in the shape you already use.
Launch and review
Referral and booking through your existing journey to begin with. Monthly activity and service reporting, a named account lead, and a capacity review each quarter so reserved sessions track actual demand.
Clinical governance and service standards.
Care is delivered under Mayfield Clinic's CQC registration and clinical leadership by GPs whose credentials, registration and indemnity we evidence at onboarding. Mayfield's GP is responsible for the care given in the room. Data protection roles, record sharing, member consent, the limits of what is shared with the insurer, complaints handling and the escalation routes agreed with your clinical team are all set out in the provider agreement.
Care is delivered by MRCGP-qualified GPs under Mayfield Clinic's CQC registration and clinical leadership. Escalation, safeguarding and complaints routes are agreed with your clinical team before the first patient is seen. About Mayfield Clinic.
Questions partners ask.
Can Jex provide face-to-face GP appointments for our policyholders?
Yes. Members are seen by Mayfield Clinic GPs at participating clinic locations in England, for routine consultations, physical examinations and follow-up, at tariffs agreed in a provider agreement.
Can Jex supplement our existing digital GP provider?
Yes, and that is the usual arrangement. Your digital GP service, provider contracts and member journey stay as they are. Jex sits behind them as the face-to-face route for the cases that need a room, with the outcome returned to your pathway.
Which areas of the UK does Jex cover?
Face-to-face appointments run at Mayfield's clinic locations in England: Oxford and the Thames Valley, London, the Home Counties, the South Coast, the South West, Ipswich and the Altrincham and Hale area. We confirm which locations, and what capacity, can serve your members before anything is agreed. Video follow-up is UK-wide.
Can we reserve appointments in specific locations?
Yes. Reserved clinical capacity contracts dedicated sessions at selected locations with agreed volume commitments and service levels. Most insurers start on shared capacity and reserve sessions where member demand proves predictable.
How are appointments charged and invoiced?
Per completed appointment at contracted tariffs, with investigations and prescriptions itemised. One monthly statement, itemised by member reference and episode type, in the format your claims process needs. Reserved sessions carry a minimum session fee or volume commitment.
Can Jex integrate with our existing booking or referral platform?
Yes. Referrals and bookings run through your existing journey from the start, by referral link, secure form or email. When volumes justify it, your platform reads our live availability, books directly into Mayfield's clinical and booking system by API and receives the structured clinical documentation back after the appointment. The build is scoped with your engineering team, tested before launch and priced as a one-off.
How are clinical outcomes shared with the referring provider?
Through a structured outcome per episode, agreed in the provider agreement and shared with the member's consent, plus results as they arrive. The full clinical record stays with Mayfield as the provider, and nothing beyond the agreed outcome is shared with the insurer.
Can Jex support white-label or co-branded patient journeys?
Member communications can be in your name or co-branded, subject to the operational arrangements we agree at onboarding. The clinic, the GP and the clinical record are Mayfield's, which the member is told.
