The corporate service of Mayfield Clinic.
Jex Health is the employer-funded private GP service of Mayfield Clinic, a CQC-registered private GP practice with clinics across England. Jex gives employers and healthcare partners a dedicated way to contract Mayfield's clinical team.

What Jex Health is.
Jex Health is the employer-funded private GP service of Mayfield Clinic, providing businesses across England with GP consultations at their workplaces, by video and at Mayfield clinics. Services include regular onsite GP sessions with a named lead GP, clinician-led triage, video consultations, face-to-face appointments and coordinated follow-up, on an annual employer subscription. Jex also provides contracted GP appointment fulfilment for insurers, virtual GP providers and digital weight loss services.
Jex Health is not an occupational health provider, a private medical insurer or an employee assistance programme. It works alongside those services and replaces none of them.
Mayfield Clinic
Mayfield Clinic is an independent private GP practice. It began in Summertown, North Oxford, and now sees patients face to face at 19 locations across England, from Exeter to Altrincham, with video appointments available anywhere.
Its GPs are MRCGP-qualified and work on a sessional basis, so appointments are long enough to examine properly and explain clearly. Prescribing, blood tests, imaging and specialist referral are coordinated by one team on one clinical record.
Jex Health is the same practice, the same GPs and the same record, with contracts, onboarding and reporting built for organisations rather than individuals. Visit mayfieldclinic.co.uk for the patient service.
The story behind our name.
Jex Health takes its name from Dr Sophia Jex-Blake (1840 to 1912), the British physician who opened medical education and medical care to women.
When women were shut out of the profession, she fought for their right to study and practise medicine. In 1869 she led the Edinburgh Seven, the first group of women to enrol as medical students at a British university. She went on to become the first woman to practise as a doctor in Scotland, founded a medical school for women in Edinburgh and set up a dispensary for women and children that grew into a hospital.
We chose the name in recognition of her courage, her compassion and her belief that healthcare should be within reach of everyone. The principles she stood for are the ones we try to work by: challenge convention, remove the barriers to care and put the patient first. Her story at The National Archives.

What we will not do.
Share an individual's clinical information with their employer. Reporting to organisations is aggregate only.
Promise a named GP is personally present at every onsite session. We name a lead GP and agree the cover model.
Publish a tariff before it has been tested. Packages are shaped around each organisation and quoted in writing.
Claim face-to-face coverage we do not have. The locations page is the list.
Talk to the people who run it.
A short conversation about your organisation and what you want to offer.
